This week the Forum Syd Country Office in Cambodia signed Partnership Agreements with 15 NGOs to implement its programme “Green Ownership” for the period of 2017-2019. The main objective is “to increase community access to, control over, sustainable use of natural resources and community climate change resilience by poor and marginalized people.
The agreements were signed by Mr. Khieng Sochivy, Country Manager of Forum Syd and 15 NGO leaders & their Boards. This programme will be implemented by 15 NGO Partner Organisations in more than 15 provinces in collaboration with three concerned government’s ministries (Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, and sub-national tiers of government& other stakeholders.
Building on our last three years’ achievements in empowering CSOs and local community people to claim their rights to promote sustainable use of natural resources, Forum Syd is very pleased to have a close, long standing and fruitful partnership with these NGO Partners and community people they are working for!
Forum Syd wishes to congratulate all the partner Organisations to have a smooth kick off and successful implementation of your projects. We look forward to jointly address challenges ahead.
